Public identity

Phone Guys Limited is an active private limited company registered in England and Wales.

Scope and service model

Phone Guys may supply, configure, manage or support CCTV, access-control, remote-visibility and monitoring technology. An arrangement may involve customer-premise equipment, Phone Guys-managed equipment, storage-only services or a third-party cloud platform. The exact service is defined by the customer quotation, order and service schedule.

Monitoring and response

  • Monitoring may be storage-only, customer-reviewed, automated or event-driven, depending on the agreed service.
  • A customer may activate an agreed monitoring service. Phone Guys may also initiate or escalate an activation where the service schedule permits it and a security or service incident makes that necessary.
  • Automated systems may monitor continuously and highlight an alert for review; this does not mean that a person is watching every camera continuously or that every event will be detected.
  • Human review, notification, escalation hours and response targets apply only where expressly agreed.
  • The service is not an emergency-response or guaranteed intervention service unless that commitment is expressly included in the approved contract.

Privacy roles and responsibilities

The customer normally determines why surveillance is used, which areas are covered and who may access footage. Depending on the arrangement, the operator may act as a processor, a separate controller for its own security records, or another documented role. The controller/processor position, instructions, access permissions and incident route must be recorded for each customer.

The responsible customer must provide appropriate signage, notices, lawful-basis decisions and local instructions unless the service schedule expressly assigns a particular task elsewhere. Phone Guys personnel and suppliers must only access images, alerts or credentials where authorised and necessary.

Storage, retention and incidents

Storage location, retention period, deletion cycle, backups, export method and access logs depend on the equipment and provider used. They must be set out in the customer schedule or documented system configuration rather than assumed from this public page.

Security incidents, unauthorised access, material loss of footage and requests for disclosure are handled through the agreed incident, privacy and customer-notification procedures. Emergency services and other lawful authorities may receive information where required by law or properly authorised.

Customer-specific schedule

Before a service is activated, the parties should record camera locations and exclusions, monitoring mode, alert recipients, activation authority, monitoring hours, escalation route, human-response commitment, retention, storage provider, maintenance responsibility and termination or export arrangements.

Release note: This Phone Guys framework page must be checked against the deployed camera, cloud, alerting and monitoring arrangements, the customer controller/processor map and the service schedule before final publication.
